I’m delighted to share some exciting news in the development of HR Duo. We have added three new members to our Board; Caroline Jenkinson, PJ Timmins (Chairman)
and Joe Hogan will join as non-executive directors.
Former President of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, CEO of Clerys, and Chair of Drinkaware PJ Timmins will become the Chairman of the Board of HR Duo. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with PWC and has been a member of various boards for over 33 years, across software, property, retailing, healthcare, and music industries in addition to not for profits organisations.
He is a founder Director of O’Leary Opticians ltd, Dublin City Business Improvement Districts Company Ltd, Retail Ireland, Alcohol Awareness Foundation and The Alternative Board. He is a Non-Executive Director of Global Standards 1 (Ireland) and Chair of Youbloom plc.
Former Deputy Chairman of the Labour Court, Caroline Jenkinson has over 20 years adjudication experience dealing with cases on employment law and industrial relations disputes throughout the public and private sectors. Caroline also worked for Ibec for over 20 years dealing with industrial relations and social policy. During her time with Ibec, Caroline represented employers’ interests at both national and EU level.

Joe Hogan founded Openet Telecom Group in Dublin in 1999. He had noticed the growth in the mobile communications market in the 1990s, along with the introduction of new standards such as The Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). He has served on the Openet board and as CTO. Joe is the principal architect of Openet’s product portfolio and has over 45 patents in 5G technology. He is responsible for technology innovation in Openet and is also a joint winner of the European Entrepreneur of the Year (2012) and EY Entrepreneur of the Year (2011).
These three new senior appointments to the Board come at a pivotal time for HR Duo, as the company prepares to expand into the UK market. HR Duo has experienced rapid growth since it officially opened its offices in Dunshaughlin Co. Meath in January 2020. It has doubled its workforce in the past year, and now employs 26 people. It is hoping to grow further in the coming year.
