REPUBLIC OF IRELAND WEBINAR
Allegations of Discrimination - Understanding the Law
📅 Wednesday 26th November, 10:30am
Equality law was initially intended to ensure equal treatment in employment between men and women. It has since expanded to cover a much broader range of characteristics that make people vulnerable to discrimination.
This webinar, presented by Caroline Jenkinson, former Deputy Chairman of the Labour Court, will examine all aspects of employment equality law in Ireland. It will focus on making employers aware of the law and its implications, and on ensuring they don’t face allegations of discrimination when differentiating between individuals in employment matters.

About the webinar
Workplace discrimination law in Ireland has developed rapidly in recent years, driven by European Union directives and evolving employment standards. What began as legislation focused on gender equality has now expanded to cover a wide range of characteristics and workplace scenarios.
In this live session, Caroline Jenkinson, former Deputy Chairman of the Labour Court, will explain how Ireland’s Employment Equality Acts apply in practice, helping employers and HR professionals understand their legal responsibilities and reduce the risk of discrimination claims.
The session will provide practical guidance for HR teams, business owners, and managers on maintaining compliance, updating internal policies, and ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the workforce.
