HR Duo was established by Jerome Forde, our CEO, who has over 30 years of experience in human resources. Jerome was motivated by a desire to advance HR practices through technology, which he felt were not keeping pace with other workplace advancements.
At HR Duo, Jerome has simplified the complexities of workforce management, including staff scheduling and payroll, HR compliance, and managing the employment lifecycle. Our approach features a unique 'once and done' method, focusing on people-first policies and procedures deployed smartly through our Content Hub.

HR Duo Launches in Ireland, October 2018
HR Duo is officially launched in Ireland on October 26, 2018. This marks the initial entry of HR Duo into the HR technology market, beginning its operations in Ireland.
HR Duo Seed Round 2020
HR Duo took its first angel round of €600K in 2020 which it deployed to advance the unique time and content capabilities of its system. The extensive employment lifecycle capabilities of the HR Duo platform benefited from the investment to accelerate its development.
HR Duo Secures Series A Funding 2023
In January 2023, HR Duo secured €4.5 million in Series A funding. This funding round provided HR Duo with the financial resources to support its growth plans and further develop its HR management solutions.
HR Duo Establishes Software Hub in Romania 2023
HR Duo officially opens its European software hub in Romania on May 16, 2023. The Romanian office focuses on software development and supports HR Duo's core teams in Dunshaughlin, Ireland, and Birmingham, UK. This expansion reflects HR Duo's commitment to enhancing its technological capabilities and expanding its global presence.
HR Duo Expands to the UK 2023
HR Duo expands its operations internationally by opening a new Birmingham, UK office on June 6, 2023. This expansion indicates HR Duo's ambition to enter new markets beyond its initial base in Ireland.
HR Duo expands focus on Workforce Management Market 2024
In January 2024, HR Duo announced an expanded strategic direction focused on developing smart HR tools with streamlined scheduling, time, and performance software. HR Duo provides a world-class Workforce Management platform plus its People Navigator to maintain compliance, manage the entire employment lifecycle and deploy policies, forms and letters through the unique HR Content Hub.
