HR Duo was founded by our CEO, Jerome Forde, who believed passionately that HR as a profession, was behind the rest of the workplace in adopting and applying new technology.
Jerome wanted to remove the burden of workforce management complexities and HR legislation with ‘once and done’, people-centric policies and procedures – which could be applied smartly, without the need for lengthy human intervention.

HR Duo Launches in Ireland, October 2021
HR Duo, a subsidiary of Forde Resolution, is officially launched in Ireland on October 26, 2021. This marks the initial entry of HR Duo into the HR technology market, beginning its operations in Ireland.
HR Duo Expands to the UK
HR Duo expands its operations internationally by opening a new office in Birmingham, UK, on June 6, 2022. This expansion indicates HR Duo's ambition to enter new markets beyond its initial base in Ireland.
HR Duo Secures Series A Funding
In January 2023, HR Duo successfully secured €4.5 million in Series A funding. This funding round provides HR Duo with the financial resources necessary to support its growth plans and further develop its HR solutions.
HR Duo Establishes Software Hub in Romania
HR Duo officially opens its European software hub in Romania on May 16, 2023. The Romanian office focuses on software development and supports HR Duo's core teams located in Dunshaughlin, Ireland, and Birmingham, UK. This expansion reflects HR Duo's commitment to enhancing its technological capabilities and expanding its global presence.

In January 2024, HR Duo announced a new strategic direction focused on developing smart HR tools with streamlined scheduling, time, and performance software.
